PaperCut – Print and Copy Control Management
The PaperCut print accounting and print management software has been in continuous development now for almost 10 years. The application is under constant development and evolution ensuring it remains a modern and effective solution. Today PaperCut is the only true cross-platform print control software, providing full support for Windows, Mac, Linux and Novell – print management software for networks of all sizes!

“It started off as a normal day at work The MD had arrived (late as always). He started to distract everyone in the office by chatting about last night’s European football and then informed us of this fabulous print management software he had found called PaperCut that was made by some clever Australian lads.
I just sighed and kept silent in the corner as I knew it would be my job to get this software up and running for testing. My fear of print management software was justified after 10 years of installing just about every software package available and thoroughly hating every moment, fighting with each one (and yes you know who you are Mr “Must install special port monitoring drivers for each printer”) …
What happened next was a surprise. I had downloaded the 40MB installer for Windows, installed and rolled out to the clients on our domain within 10 minutes. So it’s easy to install, has a flashy web based interface and is reasonably priced. The best bit was it just worked exactly as it said. I couldn’t ask for more.
Having held a geeky interest in printer (and later copier) monitoring, it was a joy to install, use and administer PaperCut. I gave the rest of the office a quick preview, bothered the PaperCut developers with questions I could have found answers to in the extensive manual and then recommended we start selling this software as it ticked all the boxes.
A few years and many installs later we don’t have one regret and it’s the same story from a lot of our customers who have tried the competition and found them a little on the average side of things but still more than happy to charge plenty!”

“
Whichever product you choose, we firmly believe that educating users in proper print practises should be the first step. Nearly every School/Uni IT team we talk to has naughty members of staff printing off 100 colour sheets on a USB desktop printer instead of using the very expensive MFP in reprographics designed for such jobs, or students printing websites and emails out in colour when greyscale and no images would have been fine. It’s this sort of thing we can help with.”
